GRAFFITI ART

Graffiti is a visual art used to express ideas and feelings. This type of art is characterized by its creators as abandoned urban spaces chosen buildings, subway or public walls to realize their ideas. In Latin America conception and opinion about graffiti it is different in each country.

In the cases of Brazil and Argentina graffiti art has won important spaces in society in general and is not perceived as vandalism. In these countries it is perceived as an art where ideas that invite reflection on the policy are reflected. Similarly, in these countries the graffiti are seen as a peaceful protest against capitalism. By contrast, in countries like Honduras graffiti it is not perceived as an art or as a subculture but this is seen as vandalism and artistes risk their lives by painting in the streets of Tegucigalpa.

Although in some countries the graffiti is legal and some not, the fact is that this is a manifestation associated with nonconformity in different areas of life of human beings. The importance of graffiti is that through the great wall or alteration of works of classical arts send a message of reflection and change society.

I am Pelo Malo

Racism is an ancient practice of social exclusion that includes many spheres of life of the people .. In Colombia's population was black brought Africa for forced labor that demanded lot of physical effort to Indigenous native of Colombia, for their physiognomy, met with a greater degree of difficulty. From now experienced in the country racism and slavery as accepted a practice.

After Colombia's independence from Spain and was formed as a sovereign state was persisting the problem of slavery. Only until 1851 the president Jose Hilario Lopez who decreed the definitive abolition of slavery abolished in Colombia slavery. However, despite being abolished the practice of slavery, racism has not left the minds of many Colombians.

As mentioned in the video Colombia racism still lives. This causes the Afro offspring is behind in economic, educational, political Arguments of courses, among many others.
Mariana Rondon, director of the film Pelo Malo, could argue that a similar situation occurs in Venezuela since it was a country that also received a lot of slaves and now living practices of racism.

The director may argue that these racist practices should be abolished completely and Bad Hair movie does double duty in this regard: First, evidence the real situation of many Venezuelans who could extrapolate Afro-Colombians, and second is a way to call public attention on these issues and attitudes as a society must change.

Cultural Appropritation

Cultural Appropriation

Cultural appropriation occurs when a group of people who do not belong to a specific subculture take on the characteristics of these, either the style of dress, the music they listen or habits in general.

An example of this is the Bangkok's Mexican's Gangster who copied the style of Mexican gangsters. Mexican gang members and a particular style of dress, with illegal activities such as theft, murder and drug trafficking identified
.
Is tempted to observe that in some way the Thai job of mimicking the lifestyle of the Mexican's gangsters however Thai only meet at night because in the morning each of the group members working as a teacher, police or government worker, even with stable families and consult with their wives if they can or not a tattoo done. This is a behavior not seen in Mexican gangs because gang members do not work and engage in other activities. That is, these men of Bangkok do not understand the negative connotation in the Western world means to belong to a Mexican gang.

Finally, I do not think that Mexican gangs may change their style because some men in Bangkok decided to imitate them.
